He also continued writing and performing with LA area musicans, including Mike Porcaro of Toto.Īfter meeting and marrying his wife Janna, the two of them moved to Nashville, where Keith was asked to sing and tour with Lee Greenwood. Paich immediately invited Keith to go to Japan and sing with Toto on their “In Search Of The Hydra” world tour, in 1980.įollowing that tour, Keith went back to LA where he continued to work as a studio vocalist, singing on major motion picture soundtracks, such as Rocky IV, Summer Rental, Stayin’ Alive, and many others. On Keith’s first day in LA, he went to a recording session with Bobby, where David Paich (Keyboardist and founding member of Toto) heard Keith sing. Bobby suggested that Keith move to LA to work with the band Three Dog Night. Keith grew up singing in area bands in southern Louisiana, where he met Bobby Kimball (original lead vocalist for Toto).
